Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

Fear is a big problem for a lot of people.

If we aren’t careful, it can bind us up so tightly that we can’t do anything.

It will hinder us from doing even the most basic things.

We don’t have to live that way.

In this verse, God reminds us that we don’t have to be afraid.
He is with us.

He isn’t some distant being who sits far away and lets whatever might happen, happen.

He’s right here with us, up close.

Because He is with us, we can be encouraged and optimistic.

We don’t have to be afraid of anything.

This verse also tells us He is our God, which means He has a personal interest in us and what happens in our lives.

This is more than us knowing He is THE God.

He is OUR God.

He is letting us know we don’t have to worry or look at the problems around us.

We can just look to Him.

The God of the Universe is personally involved in our situations.

All we have to do is ask and He will personally intervene in our situation and help us with it.

As part of being our God, He promises to strengthen us and to help us with whatever is going on in our lives.

This can be mental, physical, and/or spiritual.

No matter what we are facing, He will give us the strength to get through it and will help us navigate it in the way that helps us best and brings Him the most honor and glory.

More than that, God promises to grab hold of us and hold on tight with His righteous right hand.

Us being upheld by His hand is God’s promise that through every trouble He is there, helping us to stay the course, while ensuring we are becoming the people He calls us to be, holding us close to Him through His righteousness.

Because we’ve chosen and trusted Him as our God, we don’t have to fear.

Instead, we can look to Him to be strengthened and upheld, trusting that our God has hold of us and is taking care of us no matter what comes our way.
