This Thing I Do

I was talking to my good friend, MHR, about this blog.

She’s the first person I’ve shown it to and I was nervous.

Would she like it?

Would she think it’s too cheesy?

Is it offensive?

Is it total garbage?

I was relieved to learn she likes it and plans to keep reading it!

She had a lot of good things to say. Encouraging things.

Her good words have inspired me to try harder. To write more.

She even inspired me to finish the books I’m writing.

Yes, I am going to finish them. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. And write others, too! (Thanks for the encouragement MHR!)

I’m very thankful she was so encouraging to me and appreciate her friendship so much.

Her support makes it easier for me to keep doing this blog.

I do it for 2 reasons:

1- I feel God leading/calling me to do this. This is the ministry work He wants me to do. I take that calling very seriously. I know it is an honor and a privilege to serve Him.

2- I have a burning desire to share with others what Jesus is doing in my life, how He’s changing me. How He can change their life, too. It’s something I cannot, not talk about, think about, and ponder nonstop. All day, every day. It’s just part of who I am.

So, I will keep doing this thing I do.

With this new found enthusiasm I’ll be writing more and hopefully posting more often. I have lots of things I want to share. Stories to tell. Blessings to exclaim.

BUT –

I need YOUR help.

I want this blog to be helpful. I want it to be relevant. I want it to cover not just want I feel led to say, but also what you want or need to hear.

So- if there is anything in particular you want me to write about, let me know.

If you have a question, don’t understand something you once heard or read, or have doubts about something – clue me in and I will write about it.

Don’t worry, I WON’T say – so and so wants to know this, or they asked me to write about that.

Instead, I’ll just make it a regular post as if it’s a normal part of the rhythm. That way you have privacy along with your answers. We can also email back and forth about it and talk about it privately, if that is what you need/want.

There are several ways to contact me –
-comment on this post (though that is very public and can be seen by anyone).
-email me here, or use the private comment block on the Get In Touch page.

You can also create a free yahoo or gmail junk email address no one else knows about to use to contact me without fear of me knowing it’s you contacting me.

Whichever way you choose, the important thing is you let me know what’s on your mind and heart.

If you don’t have a question yet that’s okay. Maybe at some point in the future you will. If so, you can reach out then.

If you just want to drop a line and tell me your story, or ask for prayer, that’s okay, too. I want you to feel like you can reach out to me at any time for any reason.

Whichever way you choose or for whatever reason, I look forward to hearing from you.

Remember, this blog is not about me. It’s a community effort. I want us to do this together as friends who grow into a family.

So, if you feel comfortable reach out and let me hear from you!

Thanks!
